Esto es algo muy especial para mí. Por un lado es un cariñoso homenaje al gran Drew Struzan, y además a mi personaje cinematográfico favorito desde siempre.
This is something very special for me. A personal tribute to the great Drew Struzan and my favorite movie character ever.

What kind of program do you use for your deviations?
You are one of the better Drew Struzan artists I've seen, and for sure there are a plethora of them out there.
I don't consider myself as a Struzan artist. I only painted this piece as a respectful tribute. But I don't usually try to imitate him. There are a lot of artist who do this better, hahaha. But thank you anyway!!
Yeah, I meant no disrespect to you, of course. I was just making an observation about this particular piece. And yeah, there are soooooo many Struzan imitators out there! My core belief is that you need to find your own voice eventually. It's OK to emulate your favorite artists to build your skills, and it is rare that someone finds his/her style right away. I'm sure you know that even Struzan imitated other artists' styles early in his career such as David Grove, Barry Storey, Richard Amsel, J.C. Leyendecker and Maxfield Parish. And you can see Struzan's influence on some of my work as well, although it never gets much attention here on Deviant Art for some reason. I get much more recognition at Behance.
Yeah, I understand what you says. And I'm totally agree. Of course Struzan have a lot of references.... But some artist are just imitating him... without adding any personal style at all. I don't think this is a bad thing at all.... but I can't imagine myself doing that. Because I have a lot of references (like struzan itself) and I think my own style grows up from the mixing of these references. This piece was a love letter to Struzan's work (and to Indy of course). I'll probably paint the rest of the trilogy to complete a three pieces tribute, but that's all. Thanks again, sir. Regards!
I have to give you a thumps up and put this one in my favorites I'm a big Indiana Jones fan I just realize I need to watch all four movies this on Hulu!!

Nice composition. If you like Struzan, check out Mark Raats work.
Thank you! I love Mark Raats work. There are a few amazing artists highly influenced by Struzan (like Raats, Shipper or Runge, for example). I'm a big fan of all of them
Jason palmer also does some fantastic work.
Indeed. And Paul Shipper, Nick Runge, Tsuneo Sanda... there are a lot of artists whose work is heavily inspired by Drew.
